Marco Pantaloni is Senior Researcher at the Geological Survey of Italy - ISPRA. His research activities focuses on field survey, geological mapping, geological data model and data specification, history of geological sciences. Coordinator for the national geological mapping project (1:50,000 scale) for North-Eastern Italy, he is responsible for the Alpine chain geological Committee. He takes part in Italian and European project tasks on geological and geothematic mapping themes and on geological data specification and vocabularies. Author of some geological maps and of about 100 scientific publications, he is member of the INHIGEO-IUGS Commission.
